Now you can try to put what you’ve learned into practice, by trying a Writing task yourself.

Type your response to this in the comments below. Give yourself a time limit of 20 minutes. Remember to allow enough time to read the information, plan your writing carefully to make sure you cover the main points, then check your writing when you have finished, remembering how IELTS writing is assessed.

We won’t be able to check everyone’s writing examples, but our Educators will make some comments below. Have a look and see if they could apply to you too. You can also comment on other people’s examples.

Don’t forget that you can use online tools like Write & Improve. Submit your written work and Write & Improve will mark it and give you feedback on spelling, vocabulary, grammar and style in seconds. You can amend your work and resubmit it to improve your writing.
