Dr Michael Higgins (Lead Educator)

Dr Higgins is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Strathclyde, where he teaches on the Journalism and Creative Writing programme.

Michael’s teaching and research interests range across journalism and popular culture, political communications and rhetoric, and into the rise of incivility in media.

His books include The Language of Journalism (with Angela Smith; Bloomsbury, 2013), Media and Their Publics (Open University Press, 2008) and The Cambridge Companion to Modern British Culture (with Clarissa Smith and John Storey; Cambridge University Press, 2010).
