Responding to the crisis

You’ve had a chance to reflect on the context of this violent conflict. As a healthcare or humanitarian worker caught in this situation, there are several different courses of action that you can take.

What would be your immediate priority in this situation? Choose one priority, and explain why this is most the important issue for you.

How would your perspective change if you were in charge of this healthcare facility? Would your priorities change? Who might expect support from? What are the problems of involving other parties.

It’s not always easy to decide on the “right” course of action … but it’s always useful to discuss your thoughts with others.
