During this six-week course, we have reviewed the three laws of thermodynamics that govern the behavior of energy. The chart below summarizes the core concept of these three laws.

1st law
●The energy principle
●Energy is conserved
●The form of energy can beconverted

2nd law
●The entropy principle
●Energy can flow, and equilibrate
●The direction of energy flow can be predicted by entropy

3rd law
●The temperature principle
●The entropy of a pure, perfectly crystalline compound at T= 0 K is ZERO
●It implies that absolute zero cannot be reach
