How Into Film can help you during the pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many of us to adapt very quickly to an ever-changing situation.

Here at Into Film, we want to ensure you have access to a range of engaging materials that support you and your learners – whether you’re teaching in a classroom, delivering an online lesson or managing a virtual learning environment.

The Into Film website has everything you need to incorporate film into your lessons, home learning activities, assemblies and extra-curricular clubs. You can browse our online resource catalogue and curated film lists for materials that cover a wide variety of subjects, themes and topics. Designed to meet curriculum objectives in all four nations of the UK, you can rest assured that our age-appropriate resources will enhance your students’ skill sets.

Whilst it may be difficult to run an in-person club during these uncertain times, starting an Into Film Club at your school can still provide opportunities to combine students’ enthusiasm for film with their in-school or at-home learning. They can participate in our Review of the Week competition, where learners can submit a film review for a chance to win a prize and be featured on our website. Budding filmmakers can also take part in our ongoing Film of the Month competition.

We also offer training opportunities throughout the year to equip educators with the tools they need to seamlessly integrate film into their everyday teaching. Once you’ve completed this course, why not enroll in our new Filmmaking and Animation Online and in the Classroom course, and learn strategies to engage your learners in the filmmaking process, regardless of where lessons are taking place!
