Business Rules Summary

.

In this activity on business rules, we learnt about business rules and how they provide a way to automate and enforce common requirements.

We learnt about the structure or the anatomy of a business rule and how and when conditions are met these actions will be taken.

We learned how to build a business rule using the visual designer.

We worked through business rule creation and the different components that make up a business rule: conditions, actions, and recommendations.

We then discussed actions, which are the steps that are executed once the rules of the conditions are evaluated.

Then we learnt some additional considerations. We discussed scope and how each business rule you create should consider the proper setting for the rule execution scope.

We looked at using formulas to set values that were in conditions, for example, using a formula in a condition would allow you to do some basic math on some values.
