Recap and Planned Objectives

Recap week 1 activities and outline what we will do in week 2
We are off to a good start. Here’s a sneak peek into what lies ahead this week.

Recap of Week 1
In the previous week, we introduced the fundamental concepts of virtual worlds. We also showed you how to build and deploy a VR web-app using A-Frame on Glitch or CodePen and Github pages. We hope you have practised creating a basic VR web-app and settled on a preferred tool chain. If not, we recommend you do so. All the examples that follow are best explored using one of these platforms.

Week 2 Objectives
In this week, you will be studying more concepts about virtual worlds. At the end of the week you should be able to understand the following: spatial coordinate systems, scaling, rotation and colours.

You will get to practice how to describe the position of virtual objects in the virtual world.

You will understand and learn about rotation in virtual worlds and how this could be applied to the objects in the virtual world scene.

You will also be introduced to the use of colour in virtual worlds and practise usage of different colour codes.

At the end of this week, you will practice your skills with a few exercises to help you evaluate your understanding of the concepts.
