Recap and Planned Objectives

Why would we want to make things move? What's the purpose of movement in a virtual world? How do we achieve movement in virtual worlds?

We hope you enjoyed last week’s content. Here’s a sneak peek into what lies ahead this week.

Recap of Week 2
In the previous week, we discussed placement of objects in VR experiences. We explored positioning, rotation and scaling as static properties. We also looked at how colours can be specified for virtual objects. We hope you completed the exercises to consolidate the concepts introduced.

Week 3 Objectives
This week we will explore dynamic behaviour of virtual content. As a designer of the VR experience, you will have to program the motion of every dynamic object. To help you achieve this objective, we will show you different types of motion and show you how to program these for objects.

We will also explore how the user is introduced into the virtual world and briefly explore how the user can move through or look around in the virtual world.

Once again, we will provide you with resources and practice exercises to improve your understanding. We strongly encourage you to complete the exercises.

We will cap off the week with another quiz.
