Congratulations on finishing the EduWeight: Weight Management for Adult Patients with Chronic Disease Futurelearn course!

Congratulations! You have successfully completed all of the EduWeight: Weight Management for Adult Patients with Chronic Disease.

What next?

Although you have hopefully increased your knowledge and confidence about how to implement weight management care for people with chronic disease, skill development requires real-life practice. We recommend that you now practice the key elements of the EduWeight: Weight Management for Adult Patients with Chronic Disease program. You could start with using some of the techniques with family members and/or friends before you start using them in clinical practice. This will help you to be more confident when you consult with your patients. This is particularly important if you are inexperienced with guiding and discussing weight management.

After you have a weight management conversation, reflect on how it went:

  • What went well?
  • What didn’t go so well?
  • What would you do differently next time?

After engaging in a weight management conversation, we recommend that you use our “Reflection Checklist” (available in the Resources section for learners who choose the course upgrade option) to help you assess whether there were any key elements that you missed or any areas which you could improve on.
