Hello. This week we’ll be looking at the role of the teacher in managing lessons. This covers lots of things, like setting up activities, including activities with different interaction patterns, and ensuring learners are involved and engaged in your lessons. To start with this week, we’d like you to think about factors which influence learning. In 2009, John Hattie published a report called “Visible Learning,” the result of 15 years of research on what works in education. Hattie looked at over 50,000 educational studies to identify and rank factors which make learning successful. What do you think? What is the single biggest, positive, influence on learner achievement? Write your comments below and then do the quiz in the next step, to discover the research findings.
