Introduction

In this article, Yilu Li gives a brief of learning outcomes in Week 3.

In week 3, you will learn methods of optimizing 3D simulation and two more styles: a smocking dress and a down jacket.

Key tools and features included are:
1. Tools and commands to help to stabilize simulation: Layer, Deactivate, Freeze, Strengthen, and Solidify.
2. Methods of fixing collision: Edit Sewing tool, Re-set 2D/3D arrangement, and Select Mesh/Pin.
3. Adding Elastic to Internal lines to make the gathers.
4. Two Fullness tools: Fullness Point and Fullness Line.
5. Two features to make a puffer jacket: Pressure and Fill.
6. Adding more realistic details to your garments: Topstitch and Puckering.

By the end of week 3, you will be able to fix collisions, achieve better simulation results and create two more styles: a smocking dress and a down jacket with details of your design.
