Introduction

CLO 3D is one of the most popular and must-learn digital fashion software. It creates virtual, true-to-life garments and brings upgrades to your workflow compared to the traditional one. No matter whether you are a student, a fashion designer, a pattern maker or a 3D artist, this is the course that you want.

This course will be guided by Yilu Li, Lecturer of Fashion Tech at the University for the Creative Arts. It covers detailed demonstrations of commonly used tools and features in CLO 3D, as well as the completed workflow from start-up to the final digital garments. Instead of going through a list of CLO 3D tools, you will learn and practice them as you make a bunch of digital garments.

Course Requirements

To complete the course, you need to download and install CLO 3D via https://www.clo3d.com/en/plans. 30-day free trial and student discount are available. Please noted that there is a suggested system requirement by CLO.

Adobe Photoshop is optional.

CLO 3D First Open

When you open CLO 3D for the first time, you will get this Login Window where you will enter your username and passwords. Please check Save ID and PW so you don’t have to enter them every time you open CLO 3D.

Then you will get this window asking you to set the preferable measurement units, language and view controls.
