Today we are going to learn two new characters and two radicals.

New characters

午wǔ the time period between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

中午 zhōngwǔ 上午 shàngwǔ 下午xiàwǔ

电 diàn

看 电影 kàn diànyǐng

Radicals 偏旁

阝:related to a landform or location

院 yuàn courtyard 陆 lù continent

It can appear on the right of a character as well: 哪nǎ 那 nà

亻:related to human beings

你 nǐ the singular form of “you” 他 tā he

们 men the plural form of people 体 tǐ body
