Chinese characters

Today we will get to know how to write 门 and 羊 and learn the radical related to animals and the radical related to one’s feeling and emotion.

Characters

门 mén door,gate

The original form of “门” referred to the two panels of a door at the entrance of a house,which can open and close.

羊 yáng sheep

The original form of “羊” like a sheep’s head facing us. It means “sheep”.

Radicals

犭 fǎnquǎnpáng 反犬旁 related to animals

For example:

猫 māo (cat); 狗 gǒu (dog)

心 xīnzìdǐ 心字底 related to one’s mental activities and emotions

For example:

想 xiǎng (to think); 念 niàn (to miss)
