Course summary

We have concluded the course
4
Over the last four weeks, we have shown you some amazing energy materials that are without a doubt going to help us all survive on Earth sustainably. But we’ve also shown you that our survival does not just depend on materials in one technology, but likely in many technologies We will need great solar cells. We will need fantastic batteries. But we’ll also need better materials for electricity transport, excellent catalytic materials for splitting water and making hydrogen, materials that can convert carbon dioxide into fuels or even foodstuffs.
47.6
But most of all, in our quest to survive on Earth sustainably, we will need you, the next generation of people passionate about finding solutions for our future sustainable energy technologies, the next generation of researchers who just might make an incredible plastic solar cell, sodium-ion battery, or water-splitting catalysts. What could you do?

If you’re excited about making new energy materials, come and join us here at AIIM at the University of Wollongong. Because it will only be through dedicated people working together to create new energy materials that we will survive on this extraordinary planet.
Congratulations, over the last four weeks, you have come with us on a journey through the world of materials.
We discussed how they could help us all survive on Earth sustainably.
We’ve shown you that our survival does not just depend on materials in one technology, but likely in many technologies and this will require the knowledge and dedicated work of many people.
We hope that you have enjoyed the course and would love to hear your thoughts about it.
