Be curious, be constructive, be compassionate
Throughout this course, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded learners, lead educators and industry peers, and to shape the discussion by sharing your thoughts and experiences.
To help you get the most out of this, we encourage you to be:
- Curious – ask questions, seek clarification, be open to others’ differences
- Constructive – build on other learners’ ideas, arguments or experiences
- Compassionate – be kind and respectful towards others.
Sometimes, your educators might ask you to share personal opinions or experiences that may be sensitive or controversial in nature. In such situations, you should only share your thoughts if you’re comfortable doing so.
To get the very best learning experience from FutureLearn, find out more from these 5 tips and tools for social learning. Don’t forget, while robust debate is encouraged, it’s important that you follow the FutureLearn Code of conduct and are respectful of your fellow learners.
We can’t wait to see what you achieve.
