How to use 越来越 in a sentence

Language points

We could put an adjective or a mental verb after 越来越……to indicate the change in degree occurs as time passes by.

For example:

小树越来越高了。

我越来越喜欢写汉字。

小明写的字越来越漂亮了。

我越来越想家。

Please note that no adverb of degree is used before the adjective or mental verb. So you can’t say 天气越来越很热。×

小丽：我最近越来越胖了。

小刚：谁说的？我觉得你越来越漂亮了。

小丽：你看，这条裙子是去年买的，今年就不能穿了。

小刚：那是因为你吃得太多了，少吃点儿吧。
