We have now reached the end of the first week where we introduced consultation models in a remote setting, remote triage, the risks involved and how to mitigate those risks.

Before you move onto week 2, take some time to think about how you would apply the Neighbour model in your consultations and what kind of challenges you might face in your own practice when undertaking remote consultations. If you have already implemented remote consultations, think about how your team responded to the change in practice. As a result of your learning from this week, are there things that you will take back to the team to improve practice?

Next week we will be looking at obtaining observations (vital signs) remotely where possible, safeguarding in this setting and red flags with a focus on sepsis.
