Thank you for completing week 2 of the course, we hope you are finding it interesting and useful for your practice.

This week we looked in more depth at antibiotic use within the dental profession. We balanced the benefits and risks associated with prescribing antibiotics, and then covered when and how antibiotics should be used to treat dental infections. We finished off the week by discussing the role dental professionals can play in tackling antibiotic resistance.

Next week is the final week, where we will cover antibiotic stewardship, the importance of collaboration between dental teams in order to achieve goals, and how behavioural science can help.
