Nature-based learning is deeply embedded in a range of Federation’s courses, such as Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary), Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education), and Master of Teaching (Early Childhood). The courses on Nature Pedagogy teach both theory and practice of learning with nature as an alternative to traditional curriculum design.

As a future teacher, you will learn the various ways to use nature-based learning:

• supporting play-based learning
• inquiry-based learning
• social learning and more.

You’ll also learn how to apply nature-based learning across different school subjects such as science, numeracy, and technology as a path to boosting children’s academic learning, personal development, and environmental stewardship.
