Summary of Week 2

Two of the problems that have been addressed this week are eating and wandering. Information has been provided that may help address these issues. We have looked at some of the more creative methods of dealing with dementia, ‘dementia villages’ and fake bus stops. We have considered some of the ethical issues surrounding dementia care, particularly in relation to electronic tagging and therapeutic lying.

Considering what you have learned, how would you address these two problems as a carer? Share your thoughts with your fellow learners in the Comments.
