Skip to 0 minutes and 9 seconds Welcome to week three. In the previous week, you completed two topics on machine learning, but there are more analytical options. In this week, we will focus on spatial statistics and agent-based simulation. Again, there are two independent topics that can be taken in any order. During the agent-based simulation topic, you were asked to make a conceptual plan for your own simulation, and you can give and receive feedback from one of your peers. We hope you will enjoy these new topics.

Introduction to Week 3

Welcome back to our course on Geohealth. We are glad you are learning with us on this interesting topic.

Last week you learned about Volunteer Generated Information (VGI), SOMs (Self-organizing maps) and machine learning. In this week we will focus on agent-based simulation and spatial statistics.

The first in-depth topic will introduce the components of an Agent-based model, techniques that can be used to develop an agent-based model and an introduction to enhancing agent behavior by using artificial intelligence.

The second in-depth topic will discuss spatial dependence and will introduce you to the variogram.

We hope you will enjoy this week.
