The National PSHE CPD programme is made up of three developmental training sessions led by a Babcock affiliated and trained PSHE Tutor. Training focuses upon essential elements of effective PSHE practice including:

  • the theory and concepts underpinning PSHE and its specialist areas
  • guidance and appropriate laws which support and impact upon PSHE
  • assessment and evaluation in PSHE
  • being an effective practitioner
  • inclusion and equalities
  • normative education

The PSHE Tutor will support learners with opportunities to reflect upon their practice and develop their PSHE related skills, knowledge and understanding. During the training sessions learners are encouraged to consider course activities along with PSHE concepts and guidance, through the use of a Reflective Journal.
