What next?

We hope that doing this course has enriched your own knowledge and approaches to supporting your students’ decision making.

There may be some key areas which you want to further investigate and research so do revisit the steps of this course where you will find many downloadable resources and useful links to sources of information related to the theme and content of each step. We hope you and your students find these useful.

A complimentary course for your students

UCAS has developed another free online course which complements this adviser course. It is designed for young people in school, to help them discover more about their post-18 options and pathways, and to explore the wide range of subjects and opportunities offered in higher education.

Smart Choices: Broadening Your Horizons

Smart Choices: Broadening Your Horizons is open now for students to register. This 2-week course starts on 6th November 2017.

Why not encourage your students to register?
They will gain insight into choosing subjects and the different pathways that can be taken after school, through higher education or other forms of training to successfully launch their chosen career. They will find useful guides to doing their research, tips from students and hear from admissions tutors on what skills they look for in candidates and the key things that young people need to consider in order to make the right decision for university (or vocation). If your students can’t make the November course, we will be running it again in 2018.

And finally….

Please complete the post-course survey

We would also be very grateful if you can take time to complete our post-course survey, which asks you some questions about your experience on the course in order to help us keep improving our courses.
