Values and norms activity

In this assigned activity, we will ask you to reflect on one of the cultural value dimensions and identify where you estimate that you fall on it. After you select one, decide on one that applies to a partner, coworker, friend, family member or diverse other who is very different from you.

As an example for me, I have a very high preference for individualism, high uncertainty avoidance, and doing. My example is my high uncertainty avoidance. I generally arrive at the airport hours before my flight departs. This annoys my adult children and one particular coworker, especially if we share a ride to the airport. They are very comfortable arriving at the gate only a few minutes after boarding the plane has already started.

For this assigned discussion, please share the value dimension you selected in comments. Discuss the selections of others. Then mark this step complete.
