Recognition of stereotyping

Stereotypes are associations we make about certain traits/behaviors and groups of people. These are often learned from an early age. We cannot avoid learning major, social stereotyping, especially due to media and what others say. We may eventually come to believe these stereotypes are not accurate.

Have you previously heard the stereotypes depicted in the video? Have you relied on any of these stereotypes in how you treated others different from you?

Please share your responses and experiences in the comments and then discuss the comments of a few other learners.
