You will learn the essential skills that help a Project Manager to deliver a project.

Welcome to the course
Watch Dr Abdussalam Shibani, our lead educator of MSc Construction Project and Cost Management at Coventry University, introduce you to the key topics that you will be exploring over the next two weeks.
This course will provide you with a broad overview of the set-up of projects and the fundamental activities that take place in construction project management.
As part of this course, you will examine the increasingly critical role of project management within construction, focusing on various international case studies.
Through this week’s activities you will:
Explore the idea of a ‘project’ and its importance in the construction industry
Learn about organisations and key stakeholders
Get an introduction to the three project parameters
Examine some of the factors that contribute to project success and collapse
This short course is an introductory two-week course for a program in Global Project Management Practice which forms part of the MSc in Construction and Project Cost Management online degree at Coventry University, delivered on FutureLearn.
