The main UNSW campus is located on a 38-hectare site at Kensington, seven kilometres from the centre of Sydney. Other major campuses are Art & Design in Paddington and UNSW Canberra at the Australian Defence Force Academy.

UNSW is rated 5 Stars+ for excellence by QS World University rankings, and was ranked 49th in the world in the 2016-2017 ratings. It represents the University’s third year in a row in the top 50.

Partnerships with both local and global communities allow UNSW to share knowledge, debate and research outcomes.
