About

The University of the Sunshine Coast is a modern higher education institution located in Queensland, Australia. Established in 1994, what was then known as the Sunshine Coast University College opened its doors to 524 students in 1996 and was granted full university status two years later, inheriting the name it uses today.

At USC, we believe the best outcomes are achieved when students have access to both the academic services they require and the support services that build skills, confidence and commitment. Our students benefit from a friendly and supportive campus environment, access to highly qualified teaching staff, personal attention, and modern technology and facilities. Our students learn from the most highly awarded teaching and support staff in the nation, and benefit from flexible entry pathways, industry relevant degrees and excellent study facilities. Every year our graduates rate their experiences and the support they receive at USC very highly, and our alumni are making their mark both locally and globally.

USC students receive a high quality educational experience, while enjoying the relaxed lifestyle that the Sunshine Coast offers.

Set in the sunny state of Queensland on Australia’s east coast, the Sunshine Coast is a destination of endless beaches, lush rainforests, and expansive hinterlands. Located only a short one-hour drive north of the state’s capital, Brisbane, it is home to the architecturally diverse USC Sunshine Coast campus – a campus renowned for its environmentally-sustainable approach. The campus sits on a 100-hectare designated wildlife reserve, which provides sanctuary to native Australian wildlife, including the resident Eastern Grey Kangaroos, reptiles, and birds.
