The Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec) is a leading tertiary education provider and one of New Zealand’s largest Institutes of Technology. Established in 1924, Wintec delivers technical, vocational, and professional education across a broad range of qualifications, domestically and internationally.
Wintec produces work-ready graduates, with a focus on project-based learning, internships, real-world applications, and a very hands-on approach. They provide purpose-built facilities, including a practising nursing ward; a sports science performance hub with a biokinetic clinic; specialist kitchens; a training restaurant; hair and beauty salons; and music and art studios.
